Goto checkout goes to blank page

Page I am trying to reach error is there is a problem with the page you are trying to reach.

Hit check out the page does not show up. Seems to be there in the files on the back side, but maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

temp address above get to checkout and the next page does not come up. This is a fresh install with upgraded database. I have tried load up files in what seems to be the effected directory but nothing works.

What could be causing this page not to show up.

... just in case it reveals some PHP errors somewhere.

You should also check your server's errorlog.

I have installed the Debugger, and it gives me this error when my newly upgraded cart brings up a blank page:

[24-Jan-2008 00:54:47] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_order_total() in /home/user/public_html/shop/includes/classes/order_total.php on line 181

If I go to that line in the order_total.php file, it is this:

$order_total = $GLOBALS[$class]->get_order_total();

Any ideas what it could be - I don't really have any idea about the coding side of things.

This suggests that you've got old/outdated order_total modules installed, or that your files in the /includes/modules/order_total folder are incomplete or damaged. Perhaps they didn't upload fully due to an FTP timeout?

What modules are listed in Admin->Modules->Order Total?

I haven't actually added any mods to the Orders-Total. I have the standard ones:

I upgraded through Fantatastico, so I actually didn't upload any files when I upgraded to 1.38a

Should I maybe download the order-totals file for 1.38a and then upload it?

It cannot take any precautions to protect your customizations.
All it can do is replace all your files (wiping out your hard work), and update the database.

Nevertheless, I suppose one way you could try to mitigate your current problem would be to re-upload the correct version of those files.

The Shipping Insurance OT module is an addon.
It probably isn't compatible with your upgrade, without upgrading the addon too.
Delete the ot_insurance file from your /includes/modules/order_total folder, and try again.

I tried using this tool today and it did not write a log file for me at all in the cache directory. The problem I am having is that when a customer is trying to checkout the shopping cart page is blank. All other customers can checkout just fine and I can build a new order and checkout fine as well.

This particular customer had a cart logged off, logged in a few days later, added some more items, logged off, and logged back in today to finish the order. The really strange thing even though the shopping cart and checkout pages are showing up blank, I can go back a screen and see that the items and the price has increased (due to a mod and do not remember the name) but yet cannot get the order to check out. Not sure why this error trapping routine is not working either.

We are currently using ZC 1.3.7.1

I was able to get it to working from following the instructions for making a local directory under the includes and using the file name of configure.php.

There is like a GIZILLION errors!!! not sure how to decipher this one now (scratch scratch)

For example:

Months later, your post helped me, Dr. Byte... after upgrading to 1.3.8, I had the blank checkout page as well... and it was the Better Together and Insurance add-ons that posed the problems. Once I deleted them from the server, and refreshed the screen, the checkout was working! I just wanted to say thanks for you, Ajeh and the whole team for posting probable solutions so regularly... it helps long after the original post dates!
