Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

I would say that you probably have changed your admin location, and you have not changed your admin/includes/configure.php so that the links are displayed correctly.

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

I do have a custom admin location, but i have just double checked that it is correct in admin/includes/configure.php

Should the check and fix link bring up a series of statements as it checks each item?

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

It should go through your ssu cache folder, and actually remove/reset all folders and files with incorrect permission. You will get a statement saying x files removed, something like that.

OK, so it appears to be working, but the links are still displaying the wrong way round.

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

This is how your ssu admin link is generated:
zen_href_link(FILENAME_SSU,'action=reset_cache&folder=aliases')

As you can see, it relies on zen_href_link, the default zencart function to generates link. This function relies on configure.php to generate links correctly.

If the link is wrong, your setting is wrong, period. There is nothing to argue here.

You have to check both the includes/configure.php and your current_admin/includes/configure.php to make sure they are all correct. It MUST BE WRONG somewhere in one of those 2 files.

Yes, there is, I believe a 1 line of code to fix this issue has been posted. If you search for & in this thread you may get it. I will also add that in later version.

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Hi

Just installed this but it loks like possibly a file is missing or something.

After uploading all files, I can see the link in admin but when I click on the link I get the followqing error

Warning: require_once(includes/classes/module_installer.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/********/public_html/admin/ssu.php on line 10

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/classes/module_installer.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/********/public_html/admin/ssu.php on line 10

I have checked and the file in that location does not exist in the folders I uploaded, which means it was not their in the first place?

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

You are missing this:
http://code.google.com/p/zencart-module-manager/downloads/list

Which means you may have misses this as well:
http://wiki.rubikintegration.com/zencart/modules/ssu/installation

And make sure you downloaded the latest version from http://public.rubikintegration.com/ which should be 3.6.6

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Strange enough, your configure.php looks correct.
Yet the link still leads to /admin, and we know that the link is not hard coded, it uses zen default function to generate, so it's weird how it doesnt work for you.

The only explanation that may make any sense is that there is something changed in your store config that causes zen_href_link to work incorrectly. It's not possible for me to know exactly what has been changed on your store file. But one solution for that is to change the link from "aboslute" to relative, so you have to open your admin/ssu.php and find ```php

<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_SSU,'action=reset_cache&folder=all'); ?>

Then change to
```php
ssu.php?action=reset_cache&folder=all
Do the same for other links.
Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]
I am a little confused.
I downloaded the version on the zencart addons page, it failed because a file was missing, I then read that for older versions (I am on 1.35) download the 2.9 version, so I did that and it still failed. I am then told I need 2 additional modules, one I have downloaded and installed the other I cannot even find a download link for, then I was told to get the latest release, which I have done, but all this did was change the error being displayed to one that said something about the simple url file missing, which never existed in the first place.
I am removing the lot to start over, so can someone please explain what I need to make this work in Zencart 1.35.
Many thanks:unsure:
And you should not download the version from zencart add-on section, because it is outdated. You have to download from http://public.rubikintegration.com/ which has updated installation walkthrough.
Thanks for that.
It is very strange. It's only the first two that are swapped, all the other links are OK.
I have some permision errors in the cache/ssu, which I have fixed.
I have not yet foudn any detailed information on how this works, did I miss tat?
Now, what should I see if it is working, because at the moment its not making any change to the url, if it should.
Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]
I had this working in a test cart on 1.3.8a but after simply moving the test folders into the live site and changing the configure files, the site's working fine but I no longer see Simple Seo under the Configuration menu to be able to turn the mod on. I DO see it under Extras.
I've reinstalled, checked my permissions on the cache, made sure my .htaccess file reads correctly, and even run /ssu_check.php. I have Module Mangager installed as well.
Any ideas?
