@Countrycharm: Seem like it appears like that only on a 2nd load of a page, so for example if i load http://www.thegoodshepherdstore.com/great-gifts-under-20 once it works okie, and then when i refresh i see only code. And it only happens on category pages. I have turned off ssu for checking and it's still the same, so the problem is not there

PS: seem like because there are 2 level of gzip (by server and by simple-cache), I turned off simple cache gzip and it works for you now. I cannot replicate the other problem tho.

Thank you yellow for fixing that to. With the server gzip output_compression my site runs pretty fast anyway without simple cache. I was concern about that and maybe the reason customer were abandon there carts. Thank you again. I will send you something in the mail, give a week or so. I want forget about you. You are always here for us.

tried that, tried again, same thing..
admin doesnt work (maybe has something to do with redirecting in the admin directory?)

also, wanted to clear the cache etc but cant get into admin to see if the links would still work in the navigation for products
In your admin folder, find .htaccess and place this: RewriteEngine Off

that seems to have done it, thanks a bunch

interesting, when i go to https://www.domain.com/admin it goes to domain.com/admin

oh well as long as it works i cleared cache as well as the overall clear (the first link) and everything still work, i guess thats a good sign :)

Yes, i have enbled auto alia through Admin--configurition
please see attached pic.

The auto-generate url is like this:
https://www.example.com/BBBB-c-1_2/productname
How to change https://www.example.com/BBBB-c-1_2/productname
to
https://www.example.com/productname%28that is to delete level 2 category name)
or
https://www.example.com/BBBB/productname%28that is to delete category id of level 2 category name)

You will have to change the category level limit to 1 first, then you will have to clear cache. Every time you change setting you have to clear cache via Extras->SSU manager

SSU auto alias is not working on your site, because with alias on you cant have that type of link.

You may want to clear your alias database via phpmyadmin, and then make sure you clear up ssu cache. You should see xyz files removed when you click on clearing ssu cache. And im not talking about your browser cache btw.

Huhm, after rechecking, here is the problem:

See black-white-wooden-hanger-c-66_73? I bet you have more than 1 cat/product with this name black-white-wooden-hanger, in these cases ssu can only remove the identifier from 1 of those because otherwise it will get all confused and your links all pointing to the wrong location.

If you want, you can manually set alias for these special categories via alias manager, but you MUST make sure you give each cat a unique alias such as black-white-wooden-hanger-blah, and black-white-wooden-hanger-bluh,......

And then clear cache,

You should check to see if any product or category name may have that name. Otherwise, try to clear alias database then clear cache.

You may want to check your version, if you downloaded the module from zen download page then it is rather old. You can find the newest from my sig link
