have you tried this?
Check and fix cache(Run this once if you upgrade from any version older than 3.6.5): Click here
failing that, i dont know :(
I have installed SSU and its not working the way it did on another site i tested it on...
i can auto create an alias etc.. but i cannot manage/create my own... thinking of uninstalling and trying again or fcuking it off and just paying Yellow to do it for me...
Totally Zenned
I tried the SSU_check file. Didn't really know what to make of the results as it basically just showed what I put in my htaccess.
I really wanted this mod to work, but it's not, so I'm thinking I may just uninstall it as well. I can't auto generate aliases, and there is no option for the Category Separator that people keep referring to.
Bummer.
I think my Zen install is just too modified at this point for anything to work with it as I have problems with most mods I try to install.

lol... oh that check file has never liked me... installed SSU on three sites..
one it works... two it doesnt...
but on all 3 sites my checkfile returns WARNINGS... but as it worked on the first site i just ignore it happily :-D
im thinking its an evening of uninstalling for me... i could be sat here for hours trying to get it to work

Same here...I don't know enough to fix things that don't work as expected. I'm having an issue with JQzoom as well. I think uninstalling will ensue. Such a pain though as I have to manually go through each folder....

Are you sure you have installed the latest version?
The version on zen cart sites are not newest. Even not the module manager.
What about the content of your .htaccess file?
And make sure that the values of DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE defined at the bottom of includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php are the SAME.

You may be on to something....This package definitely looks different than the one in the Zen download area...

SCARP THAT...! it was a setting in admin profiles that stopped me from SEEING data inside the AJAX box for alias managing...
no changes i make have any effect..
back to square one :(
my Set Link Alias Status = true and Set Auto Alias Status = false but its auto-created aliases override anything i try to implement.. nothing i try is working...

Hi,
Ive installed got it working to the point that it changes the url however i am getting the error
"Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
The only step i have ignored is the one shown below, as to be honest, i have absolutely no idea what it is asking.
- This mod use the cache folder path defined in: DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE in file includes/configure.php
This folder is usually located at the root of your ZC store (http://site.com/path_to_store/cache)
* If it is NOT, you will find in the SSU package the folder cache/ssu, copy this ssu folder along with its sub folders into your cache folder. * Go to path_to_cache_folder/ssu, set this “ssu” folder's and all its subfolders permission to 0777 * It is VERY important to check and make sure that the values of DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE defined at the bottom of includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php are the SAME.Could someone suggest why i am getting this error?
Many thanks
Any one else had this error?

@mcshane
Now I have the run and check cache option, however I get an error saying 'Warning Could not open dir /store/cache/ssu/'
I've checked the permissions and they are set at 777.
Any ideas?
Nevermind....everything shows up and works now! Yay. :)

Navido, I re-downloaded the SSU package from
http://eazyecommerce.com/web-templates/zen-cart/modules/simple-seo-url
As the one in the ZenCart download area is apparently not current.
I reinstalled everything, and voila! It worked!

I second that. But I know it's me and my heavily modded Zen Cart. I usually have to manually go through each file of mods to make sure they won't overwrite something.
After 3 years it's about time I get SEO friendly URLS. :shocking:
