How to add image below nav (not buttons)

I want to add an image to display just below my left hand nav menu column. What file and where in the file should I add this <img> tag? I want this image to link to a new define_page.

Do you mean the bottom of the left column??

If so explain what you have altered to contain all of you otherlinks in the categories side box...

If not a bit more detail of where you want it

The categories box is unchanged; the "other links" are actually categories with descriptions but no products.

You have a few options.
Hard-code the image link into /includes/templates/your_template/sideboxes/tpl_categories.php, code it into /includes/templates/your_template/common/column_left.php,
or install the blank sidebox mod and put it in that.
