Is there a way to add like a description of products on each category page? Like right before the first products start?

Admin >> Catalog >> Categories/Products
Choose the category you want to add the discription to, and click on the "e" in the green circle... then in the box that says "Categories Description:" type what you want in there... that should do what you are asking for.

I didnt make myself clear I want to add text (description of category) ABOVE the products between the
home: category name
