JAM problem - redirect your affiliate links to any other URL

First off I think there should be a catagory in the forum for Jrox's JAM I don't know where to actually post this question.

redirect your affiliate links to any other URL is in the jam program and it workes except to any page inside of zen cart. any ideas on what the problem could be? I have tried all 3 of the settings in missing page check thru zen cart admin/configuration.

Sorry, I don't understand your question. Perhaps you can explain in more detail, without any assumptions.

In jam there is this:

Our Program allows you to redirect your affiliate links to any other URL that you want. This works well if you'd like your affiliate link to point to one of our product pages directly, so you can promote it easier. All you have to do is append the URL to the end of your affiliate link, like so:

"http://www.d-r-l.com/jv/jrox.php?id=299&jxURL=http://www.d-r-l.com/"
"http://www.d-r-l.com/"
```can be any product page on our site, so just take down the URL of the product you want to promote, and replace this text with the URL
This doesn't work for pages in zen cart:
```html
"http://www.d-r-l.com/jv/jrox.php?id=299&jxURL=http://d-r-l.com/onlinemall/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_5&products_id=130"

Re: JAM problem - redirect your affiliate links to any other URL

I think you'll have to replace all the & symbols in the ZC URL that you're adding to that link with %26 instead.
And probably also change the ? to %3F
And the way JAM seems to be extracting info it seems to confuse its own parameters on the end of the URL if you don't add some sort of stop point, such as %26nul

Something like this seems to work:```
http://www.d-r-l.com/jv/jrox.php?id=299&jxURL=http://d-r-l.com/onlinemall/index.php%3Fmain_page=product_info%26cPath=25_5%26products_id=130%26nul

... but leaves some junk on the URL. Click it and see:
<http://www.d-r-l.com/jv/jrox.php?id=299&jxURL=http://d-r-l.com/onlinemall/index.php%3Fmain_page=product_info%26cPath=25_5%26products_id=130%26nul>

Basically this is called URL-Encoding.
You could maybe use the PHP url_encode() function to do the URL conversion for you.

So jam really doesn't work with zen cart then? an affiliate is not going to know how do do all that. or at least not with 1.3.8?

Well that's a pretty broad generalization.

Maybe you should be posting your concern to the JAM support forums and explain that it doesn't seem to be handling redirect links correctly.
