Different shipping for wholesalers

Hi there,

My apologies if this has been posted before, but I did a search and didn't find anything that seemed to work for me.

Here's my problem:

My client wants to have retailers (normal customers who pay normal pricing) receive free shipping, whereas wholesalers (who receive different pricing) would pay normal shipping via UPS/USPS. How would I do this exactly?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, as this is pretty much the only thing holding up the launch of the site.

Perhaps someone can write a hack that applies certain shipping criteria if the customer is in a group. Talk to SWGUY.

How about running a seperate instal for "wholesale customers" that uses the same database. Then you could also require login to see prices on your wholesale site.
