Simplest way to generate text file

Where is the shipping price stored in the database?

Are there any good resources for explaining the entire database? I am trying to implement a conversion system to take the Zen Cart order details and copy them to our existing system for taking orders--which we have a few other stores already up and running using other e-commerce systems.

I need to create a text file on the server that can be encrypted and downloaded on our end for processing orders from Zen cart. I already created the lengthy SQL statement that grabs data from several tables and it gets us all the info we need to process the orders.

So what's the easiest way to get a text file saved on the server twice a day? Should I just use a PHP script and have it run through a chron job? MySQL something??? any other ways? We need it encrypted, too. Also, the credit card number field doesn't even show the full credit card. It shows X's. Where is the full number which is needed for charging the card..? Thanks!

For security reasons, the full credit card number is NOT stored in the database. Part of the number is stored in the db. The rest is emailed to you.
