No PayPal IPN Payment Option After Setup

Hi -

I set up the PayPal payment options exactly as instructed in the documentation however, when I try to make a purchase, it doesn't give me PayPal as a payment option.

I also have the Zen Card payment option enabled and I don't see that either... Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure that you are not using duplicate Sort Orders on the Payment Modules ...

Make sure that you did not set a Zone on the PayPal module that might disable it ...

Was this a clean install or an upgrade?

I just removed/reinstalled it. I also realized that I had two payment option types in the same sort order - 0 but I changed them and they still are not listed.

Is there anything lese I can try?

It sure looks like you have a Zone defined for the module ...

This looks like an Upgrade ...

Install both the PayPal Express and PayPal IPN and remove both then install both and remove the one you are not using ...

NOTE: you are missing at least 2 classes in your stylesheet and that makes me wonder if your code is up to date ...

OK, Iadded both, removed both added both again and removed the PayPal Express option but still nohing. Is ther anycoding manipulation I can do manually to fix it?

If you ware willing to help me offline, I can give you the login and password to check yourself - I'm new to this nad afraid to touch anything now that it's LIVE..

I set up and patched the PayPal IPN payment option on my site (http://floydupgrades.com) and no matter what I do, the option for paying though PayPal never shows up. I'd like to use PayPal as my only payment option (I also enabled the Zen Card option too just for giggles) if possible.

No matter what I do, I always get the following message at checkout:

Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.
Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

Can anyone help? I double-checked the PayPal Options and everything is set properly... If someone really wantys to help - they are more than welcome to log in and look on thier own...

I still cannot get this to work - can someone please HELP!!!

Hi -

I finally got the PayPal IPN option working on my site but when I click the "Continue Checkout" button to go to Step 3 and my PayPal site, the page only loads half way and I'm never taken to the PayPal site to complete the actual payment.

Is this a problem with the actual payment module or some sort of configuration error?

My site is at http://floydupgrades.com - you have to go to the final step to see the actual error...

1054 Unknown column 'zen_order_id' in 'field list'
in:
[SELECT zen_order_id, paypal_ipn_id, payment_status, txn_type, pending_reason FROM paypal WHERE txn_id = '' ORDER BY zen_order_id DESC ]

What is this error and does anyone know how to correct it??? THis happens when I test my IPN stuff by going to:

It means you're using v1.3.8 PayPal modules but you have non-1.3.8 code in other related files, such as your ipn_main_handler.php

Perhaps you've mixed up files during an upgrade?

What were you trying to patch? and why?
What version of Zen Cart are you using? What version(s) have you upgraded from?
What addons/contributions have you installed?
What version of PHP/MySQL are you using?

OK, I'm running Zen Cart version 1.3.8a
Database patch level 1.3.8
PHP Version: 5.0.5 (Zend: 2.0.5)
Database: MySQL 4.1.22-standard-log

I saw a 1.3.8a PayPal patch and installed it per the instructions but this is where I screwed it up. All I really want to do now is to have everything at the correct patch level and be able to have a properly functioning PayPal IPN transaction module.

Again, I'm sorry for all of the posts and confusion - I'm a network engineer by trade and have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to SQL programming or Zen Carting.

You may have to explain your answers/directions to me like a baby - I'm having a hard time understanding how everything works within Zen Cart. Again I'm sorry! When I get everything up and running properly, I will be happy to make a contribution to the cause to make up for the problems I have caused...

Which patch did you install?
You'll need to replace all the files listed in that patch with the 1.3.8a version of those files by copying them from the 1.3.8a fileset up to your server.

OK, I did it... I updated all of the PayPal modules to the 1.3.8 version - everything works fine now...
