Virtual or Download - which one?

Everything I'm selling in the zen cart is a downloadable product... nothing will be shipped.

I have been reading old threads but it's now 2:30am and I'm just asking straight out.

What is the difference? Which would be easier - both from the owner/admin point of view and the purchaser's point of view?

Downloads are NOT virtual products.

Out of curiosity... what IS a virtual product if it isn't a download?
