I am going for a price and add to cart unit like the one shown above, whereby they both work as one unit enabling a background colour to be placed behind them both, as for the <p> tags are only in the description as i needed to space it better with the layout before, i will take them out now i have changed the layout!
many thanks

Elliot

Re: Changing product page layout

OK, makes sense. Try explicitly declaring a width and height for wrapper2; floated elements inside it may not be able to give it dimension by themselves. Tested - works.

Giving position: relative; to #productDescription doesn't solve the clearance problem, but it mitigates it.```
#productGroupWrapper2 {
margin-left: 200px;
width:200px;
height: 120px;
background: #aabbcc;
text-align: right;
}

#productDescription {
position: relative;
top: -5em;
}

Re: Changing product page layout

Ive had a play around with the layout, its all good on the products where there is only one attributes however when there is 2 there is a huge gap between them both http://www.orcharddirect.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=175

How can i make it so the attributes are only a few pixels from each other?

Cheers

Re: Changing product page layout

The attribute spacing is the old .clearBoth fun again...

I like the change, btw - it's good to have all the action items in one group.

What on earth is going on there! It appears that with prods without attributes the wrapper 2 does not function properly! Ne ideas! lol

Re: Changing product page layout

Putting
min-height: 100px;
on wrapper2 should keep it from collapsing on modern browsers. Unfortunately IE6 doesn't recognize min-height.

You might try adding <br class="clearBoth" /> just before the </div> for wrapper2.

Re: Changing product page layout

How they did it:```
/* detailBox right --------------------------------------------------------*/

div#detailRight {
width:165px; /* should be 175px */
min-height:294px;
float:left;
text-align:center;
}

Re: Changing product page layout

Cheers that stops it collapsing in both IE and mozzila! Now i just need to fix this space! I would prefer to have it working in IE then mozzila due to the fact that more people use it. there must be a way of fixing it :huh: cheers

Re: Changing product page layout

Ive NEARLY fixed it in IE now, mozzila isnt as good. I added a <br class="clearBoth" /> after the product name, this shunted wrapper 2 down in mozzila but not in IE, i was then able to add a -9em margin at the top of wrapper2 this bought wrapper 2 up on both browsers. i thought i had cracked it untill i found that wrapper 2 is positioned in a different place on every product page (on IE)! http://www.orcharddirect.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=162 this one overlaps the product name where as this one fits perfectly http://www.orcharddirect.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_57&products_id=7 any ideas?
