changing price for multiple items at once?

hi, the way i am setting up my products looks like this...

Hair Dye
...Brand A
......color1 $8
......color2 $8
......color3 $8
......color4 $8
...Brand B
......color1 $10
......color2 $10
......color3 $10 ...etc

so that the product listing page for each brand, each color is it's own product (this is how i want it).

now what i am wondering is, if i would want to say, go and change ALL product prices in Brand A category from $8 to $9.... is it possible to do this in a way other than going through each individual product for every one (theres 36 colors so i'd like to avoid having to do it 36 times every time i want to change the price of a specific brand)???

note: i do NOT want to change it to just 1 product per brand with a drop down list for colors.
i hope my question makes sense!! thanks...

I am also looking for a way to set the prices of items by category.

I have been through the products price manager, but this will not work for me because I will literally have thousands of images that are being sold through the store.

I need to set the pricing for all items in a specific category.

Hello there
did you try "Quick Update Module" contribution?

Actually it turns out that I figured out how to solve my problem.

I was able to set the prices for a specific album and all the items inside of it through the product price manager. I used the "Copy to" button to accomplish this.

Where is the "copy to" button on the Products Price Manager? I can't see it!

It's in the "attributes Controller" section, not the "Products Price Manager" section.
