Total newbie help

I can see this is a great website.
I am a toal newbie,but need to setup a webstore.
It doe,snt have to be flashy,just a page with products and contacts.
Then i will move onto online store.
Can someone tell me where the sen manual is?
Or how to install on a windows pc.

I,ve got axampp running but when I go to PHPMY ADMIN it request username and password.
i cannot get past?
i know the passwords and names I put in but iis there a default.#
i,ve done as suggested in the link in the post above.
I have not yet purchased a domain,do I have to do that?

I also am in trouble with th my PHP ADMIN username and password it will not let me access?
I cannot understand why?

also are ther any free or trial domains that anyone knows of,as this is my first attempt i would rather use a trial or free domain.
i have now uninstalled xamp and re installed and upon completion of installation it tells me that port 80 and 433 are not accessable?
Can some one assist.
theres know way I can afford the book.

I cannot unistall xampp completely.
can someone assist please,
also how is upon instalation that ports 80 and 433 cannot letb appache install?
So i cannot restart the procedure until I delet aqll of xamp?
someone help please...???

You have no need for a domain name while you are working on your xampp setup.
That will come when you migrate to a live hosted server. Take your time and don't rush it.

thanks for that ,
but where do I go from here.
I been reading and the more I read the more confusing it gets.
It says in the tutopen up localhost and paste your domain name in also,so how can I move on if i cannot get domain.
Or do I have to design somehthing?
i am really tired but won't give up

You don't need to have it registered to use it on your localhost. Just pick anything you like. You can always change it later.
