Force sign up for free demo

I would like to offer a free demo of my product on my site but i would like to also have people sign up for my newsletter to access it. Is this possible and how would i go about installing it?

This would require some relatively straightforward custom coding. There is a newsletter subscribe add-in that signs people up without creating an account. What you could do would be to install this and then when people want to see the demo you ask for an email address and check it against customers and and subscribers lists before showing the demo. If they're not on either you direct them back to the newsletter subscribe.
