Products disappeared in 1.1.4d store

I have an old ZC store, I think it's 1.1.4d. We only use it seasonally for our event, in the off-season I just rename the directory so it is hidden & unoperational then when I want it back I rename again. I've done this for 3 years already.

This time, none of the products are listed in the user side of the store! I click on the category and it goes to that page, but only the category header text is shown - no products. I can sign into my user account and see my past test transactions.

Also, the admin side seems to be all there... Categories, products and everything else looks OK! I only have 2 disabled products in my store, the rest show status = green.

Any ideas what I can look at to get my products showing?

Has your web host upgraded their version of PHP? Perhaps to version 5? If so, even Zen Cart's in the 1.2.x series are likely to fall apart, a 1.1.4 cart would, I'm afraid, have reached the end of it's life, unless you can find a web host running out-of-date software or can control (freeze) your server configuration.

Finally got ahold of the ISP (ugh)... it looks like they did recent upgrade to php 4.4.7 (mySQL Client API version is 4.1.11). Is that still enough to break it?

Dag nab, it seems like most stuff is working, and it'll take weeks to setup from scratch again.

You can ask for commercial support from the commercial help room. It'd take a day or more to have the store up to date. (depending on the number of modules installed etc...)

Interesting. Are you saying the upgrades should work OK? I was thinking that due to PHP differences that there wasn't much chance of that. Maybe I should give it a try or is it fairly tricky?

Would I try just going to the latest, or should I try it incrementally (perhaps just certain milestone versions like 1.2.7 then 1.3.8)?

When you run an upgrade, it will step through all the intervening versions. The store operating code is not being run while upgrading, so it shouldn't matter that the early versions wouldn't function on your server.

Note: You will have to adapt your store look to the current template system. The templates have changed tremendously since that version.

Yea, after seeing in the directions that I'd have to re-do any (minimal) code changes I made in files outside the override dirs, and then that I'd have to add in the ZC updates to the ones I did override, I have decided to move ahead with an install from scratch.

Due to continuing problems getting the new version installed from scratch (mainly a mostly unresponsive ISP) and the need to get something back up and running, I am hoping someone here can help with the errors I am getting in v1.1.4d, likely due to MySQL upgrades or perhaps a corrupted file.(?) Might need to do some SQL query tweaks.

It is almost working but no products show in the store's user interface under categories. The products DO show in the admin interface. Here are the errors:

Interesting how the store itself has an error when going into a category, but the admin interface has one when showing the categories top but not the products.

HELP appreciated, and I do have some SQL buddies that can help if we get on the right path.
