Product amount left and colour

I want a drop down box with all the different colours available in a certain nappy, but I only have a 5 of each colour. My question is how do i set attributes or whatever so that once the 5 are sold it shows that that colour isn't available anymore?

By default Zen Cart does not have stock-by-attribute capability...There is a SBA module by kuroi in the downloads section and it does not have inventory by attribute capability but you might look at it and add the many extra checks for this if you find this all important
