shopping cart sidebox with checkout button only when cart is full

I am using the shopping cart sidebox with free shipping qualifier and checkout button.

Currently the checkout button is always on, but I would like to set it up so that the button only shows when there is a product in the shopping cart. Can you help me figure this out in the code?
