Subcategories horizontally across top of page

I have a site that I has 6 sports related categories. Each of those categories has identical subcategories (shirts, socks, shorts, accessories, etc) I am wanting to use the category sidebox as it is...but...I am wanting to either reconfigure the navcattabs horizontal menu across the top to display distinct the subcategories and link to showing all products in all of the linked subcategories (example if shorts is listed...when they click on that link all shorts across all categories are listed) Is this possible? Thanks!

Depends on how you have arranged your top level cats then by linking you might get what you seek with some custom coding

This is my first cart assembly. So I am flying by the seat of my pants here. The cart was supposed to just be one sport...now it's many...not really sure what the best way to put the products in would be. There are some products that will be in all categories...argh

Try mapping out your cats & products on paper to determine the best way.

One product in many is through linking
