inport and export product list, excell

think ive asked this before but dont think i got a reply or and answer to the post as i dont know the answer.

is there a mod or a way to export the product database into an excell file so i can edit the information in excell then i can edited prices and information more easly and the upload the new excell and change all the products on my site.

this would help me loads as my suppliers always supply me with a new excell file for all the new products and prices.

right ive installed this mod as instructed and installed with out a probalem and i have downloaded the text file and opened it in excell which is great.

Quick questions??

1. if i add new products will these be added to my site then all ill need to do is upload an image to suit the produc??

2)when working in excell do i need to leave the file as is or can i rearrage the lists with out wrecking my site?? ie arrage it a-z in the manufactuer colum so i can find products more easy?? i gather the top row neew to stay top.

well been reading the suppoirt thred for 3 hours now and still not got the answer to these questions. can someone please answer and save me a day of my life to update products.

   Just insure that the end of line is at every added line and yes this is what this mod is for

   Not sure but what I would do is determine what the list is currently sorted on then sort as you need and when done re-sort back to original - save - for uploading

i looked at this. the list is in product number order, ie the first product i entered first.

there doesn't seem to be a product id number colum. if there was i could just arage it how ever and then arrange it back

I do not use easy populate but recall that you must have model # defined as this is what it uses

when i open the file in excell there is no product number colum. but the numbers down the side (excell coloum numers) are the product numbers
