Add to cart button shows blank page

try looking at the end of the four files mentioned in your post for any blank links. The best way to do this is to use an editor that shows line numbers.

Oddly enough I went in and removed whitespace on the lines in question and although the errors aren't reporting via the debugger, the problem persists.

Not sure without seeing the actual files, but it wasn't so much whitespace removal that worked for me, it was additional blank lines at the end of the files, have you checked for this?

If you still have trouble, send me the files mentioned and I will have a look for you.

Thankyou so much I was able to fix my shop
the problem was
includes/languages/english.php
at the very bottom of the file there were 2 blank lines once i deleted them so the last line in the file was only had
?>

it now works !!

I just wanted to add to this thread, as I came across it while looking for a possible solution.

My system was working absolutely fine, until I changed the english.php file (unfortunately, I had done several modifications at the same time, without feeling the need to recheck the shop). I'm not sure how but I must have done something. When I clicked on Add to Cart, Add Review or Checkout (from the shopping basket), I was sent to a blank page.

I ran the Debug tool, and got a headers already sent error for my languages/mytemplate/english.php.

I removed the english.php from includes/languages/mytemplate, so that it went back to use the default, and all works fine again.

I'm figuring I've deleted or added something somewhere in there, will go and see when I get the chance, but for now it's working, so it can stay that way until I get more time!

Hello everyone! I had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM and did what the gentlemen quoted below and fixed the problem, thank you so much! I hope this helps someone else cause this problem is just outright scary and annoying but easy to fix!

I had exactly the same problem, I followed the various advice here and was about to give up. But finally found a couple of extra lines at the end of includes/languages/english.php if that is any help, once removed the site worked again!

I had the same thing happen and what caused it was a missing single quote in one of the fields I had edited. So be VERY careful about checking each line after you edit .

Along the same lines of the blank white page, I just had it happen when I installed and activated the qty discount mod. May be because all of my test products are virtual and they are all priced by attributes. Don't really need the mod so I did not research it any futher.

I just had that same issue. Open the first mentioned file in an editor and check if there are empty lines after the last "?>"
I had 2 empty lines. Deleted them and now everything works like a charm again. :clap:

Clicking "Add to Cart" button was throwing an empty page.

Removed two extra empty lines at the bottom of
includes/languages/english/header.php

Uploaded the header.php file.

FIXED - im an idiot. I was adding the description above the shopping cart to describe the checkout process and deleted a ,'

I had this same problem... it was caused by extra lines at the end of rl.vat_info.php after installing the dynamic price updater add on....

I am having the same problem and my cart was set up by someone else and I know nothing about it. I have no idea how to fix the issue of a blank page after you click add to cart. Is there anyone who will help fix this issue? I am willing to pay someone if it won't cost me an arm and a leg.

I don't have the time to try and get this issue fixed my self as my niece passed away last week and my mom is in ICU.

If you want to try this yourself, then get the Debug Tool in the Free Software Add Ons and see if that helps show you where some errors are ...
