how to use Authorize.net SIM payment form?

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Zen Cart but have been doing fine until today. I can't seem to set up my cart such that customers are paying on Authorize.net's secure payment form rather than my unsecure Zen Cart pages.

I've been told that in order to use SSL I would need to get a whole other hosting account because my site is currently hosted as a subdomain of another. I don't really have the funds to pay for a whole new hosting account with SSL, so I chose the Authorize.net gateway, because supposedly I don't need SSL if customers pay on their page.

I've read in another post about an online/offline payment checkbox in the SIM module but as far as I can see there is no such thing. The code for the module also doesn't look anything like the code in Authorize.net's SIM implementation guide because it's php and not html.

Is there anything I can edit in zen cart to send my customers to the Authorize.net payment page? Thanks very much!

Re: how to use Authorize.net SIM payment form?

v1.3.8a has a newer SIM module that's much easier to use and configure.

There's a beta version for v1.3.7.x that you can try out, from here:

If you find you like it, you may want to consider upgrading your site to the new version v1.3.8a.

Re: how to use Authorize.net SIM payment form?

Okay, I've installed the beta 1.3.8 module and set it to offiste and it takes me to an Authorize.net payment form after I've confirmed my checkout. There's no little lock at the bottom of the page, however, and no https address in the address bar. Is this form secure?:dontgetit

Also, is there any way for the module to send you to the Authorize.net form at Step 2, where customers choose their payment method? It seems a little weird to confirm a transaction that hasn't been paid for yet. Thank you very much,

Lauren

Is there any way to tell if the Authorize.net payment page is secure without the lock or https address? Thanks.

Zen Cart sends you to a https page.

Re: how to use Authorize.net SIM payment form?

The frame goes to the https URL from authorize.net but the address in the address bar remains the one for my shopping cart. Can I tell my customers this page is secure if just the frame is an https page? Is there any way to get that secure address or the little lock to show up? Thanks.
