Shopping Cart and Account Info missing

Hello,

I'm signed in as a test user (I created a customer) and I cannot see my cart unless I just clicked Add To Cart. It doesn't show up on the left side at all. Neither does Account Settings. I have the cart turned on in Tools -> Layout Boxes Controller (set to left side) and also in Configuration -> Customer Details (auth pending set to 0). I also have items in my cart which I can see if I add another item to it.

Any ideas what's up?

check if left/right column is **ON

Also it seems you remove the header Home Log in My Account checkout etc

that did it. I don't know why it wouldn't show up if i had it set to the right column though.

also do you know how to get it to show the total number of items and subtotal instead of one line per item? the cart gets very long and ugly in it's current format.
