Reward Point Mod beta now available

For the cart sidebox- why don't you use the "Cart with Reward Points" mod- it comes with the default mod.

And I'll add the sort by Pending/Earned- Not a hard one.

Well, the end game is in sight. I think we have this mod pretty well in good shape. Just one final edit so if you don't mind being guinea pigs one last time- I'm going to remove the code from order.php (a core file) and stick in some tasty syncing which I'm confident will make this mod work "out of the box" with any other mods- I have the idea down- I can put code into my own functions that will cover the status changes in Orders. The major plus with this is no need to rewrite any of the core code- which is always good, and should make the mod useable with any of the current versions of ZenCart and any future versions too. Once Notifiers hit the Admin side I can fine tune the code further.

Thanks everyone for helping out and providing feedback- This truly is a community driven modification.

Stay tuned for the last update- In the meantime, backup your order.php files- When the new version comes out you'll need to revert to the pre-mod versions.

Interim fix. Fixes the Global Redeem not displaying in Admin->Customer->Reward Points and PTC's interesting logic puzzle which occured when all points were shifted between pending and earned and back again.

Unzip attached file to admin\ and replace the version there.

actually, I was just looking at it, and i'm sorry, my custom cart_sidebox is all on the CSS .. so the code is the same as the default one

basically what I'd liek is to instead of just having

If I set "Adjust Reward Points for Sales/Specials" to 0 .. the points show for non special items .. but of course, the sale items points are collected at full price :/

Yes, I am very interested in this as well.

Perhaps adding a custom user field, for a user to enter his own referral code, and then when the new user signs up, they enter the referral code given to them by the referrer, and it does a search to find him, and awards him points (an amount set in the Admin side of things). (likely also need a yes/no field that is set to yes when the new customer enters a referral code the first time, to prevent them from entering/changing multiple codes and handing out multiple awards (and it should also likely check against the user selected referral code to make sure he isn't giving himself points by saying he is referring himself).

If you could make this module do this, my boss would be in hog heaven, as it would be exactly the functionality he is looking for in both a referral program AND a rewards program.

(I am only on page 8 in reading this thread -- so I don't know if you have anything for this yet or not)

Not yet but it is on the wishlist.

I am also waiting on that version that doesn't replace the orders.php file. :D

One more thing I found, orders that use "super orders" "batch status update" to change the order status to a status that would redem the credits .. wotn work, the credits will remain pending

:smile: It's already there- Go to Config->Reward Points and set Reward Point Config Track to Advanced. You can then set your triggers.

Yes- there is a Customer->Reward Points Admin panel that will let you do this.
