Deleted my catalog

I somehow deleted my products I did make a backup on my PC what do I have to upload to get back my products

For future reference 3 posts on the same thing are realy not required,

as long as you have a copy of your database ( this would have been made from phpmyadmin, or if you instaled it, the database backup manager )
then you can re-upload the tables and inserts of any table that says product or gategory.

If you dont have a copy of your backup, you can try to ask your host,
Maybe they have one for you

Well perhaps if I knew where to put it or maybe if I got a better answer than the driveby tips I get from Kim. I am still waiting for answers to questions back in January maybe a site revamp would help.

Your product information is maintained in the mysql database file.

If you do regular backups from the control panel of your host account, you should be able to restore your mysql database from that control panel.

On my host (ICDSoft) I can make backups of all files and the database file which are tar'd and gzip'd and saved on the server in a backup folder. I can choose to also download a copy of those files from the backup folder to my workstation pc.

ICDSoft will not let me restore them from the control panel. To restore I have two choices:

• Make a support request to have the host restore the files for me, or
• I can extract the backup files stored on my workstation pc including the database file. I can then upload by FTP those files from my PC to the host to restore.
