Import email addresses into Zen Cart?

I have a database of email addresses from my old payment system. I recently put on zen cart and love it ~ but how can I get all of these old email addresses into my new system? I would like to send out a newsletter using all new customers (zen cart) AND old customers (old system).

email addresses are used in Zen Cart as the user login....with a password associated with it.

I you were to do this any of these individuals could not use their email to create an account as it already exists in the DB

I think you can check the newsletter subscribe module, I believe it allows you to do that.
