Re: Google adsense banner

i am trying to implement the same size google banner but am getting an empty space that fits those dimensions, but no actual google content showing... any ideas why?

i have tried using the google adsense sidebox mod too and get the same result. the code is copied correctly, i redid it a few times just to make sure.

Re: Google adsense banner

I'm interested to know why you would want to put a big Adsense banner on your site, that will encourage shoppers to LEAVE YOUR SITE and spend their money with someone else...

... or is your ZC site not commercial?

my biggest seller is an item that is customised for each person, it is a unique item and currently not available anywhere else in perth so im not worried about people leaving my site - they come specifically for my personalised services. the other products on my site are basically eye candy, i make my profit from my ultrasound products and serve a very lucrative niche market.

traffic to other sites is also a good way to build your page ranking on search engines, and the companies that receive my clicks will recognise me in their statistics and therefore it will build good relationships with them, who will be more inclined to link to me in there sponsored link sections.

advertising is a very good revenue earner which is why so many sites are plastered with banner ads etc... it is just another form of generating income. i also earn good money from people who pay to put their banner ads on my site - to me money is money, it doesnt matter where it comes from.

ive been designing and managing websites for over 10 years now and never had an issue with losing traffic to google ads.

Re: Google adsense banner

Why in the world would anybody put adsense on their site?

traffic to other sites is also a good way to build your page ranking on search engines, and the companies that receive my clicks will recognise me in their statistics and therefore it will build good relationships with them, who will be more inclined to link to me in there sponsored link sections.

This would be great if 1. Your site related to theirs and 2. If you were linking to them. But you are not. When you put adsense on your site it runs via JS. Look into your HTML and you will not see any HTML there for the links . Let's assume you did see the adsense HTML. You would notice that it links to google, which in turn links to the destination site. What you are trying to accomplish is reciprocal linking. You are not getting it with Google Adsense. I believe and have read many places, and I want to be clear to anybody who is even considering doing this: Google Adsense will do nothing for your pagerank. Please go to any SEO forum and ask this question. Personally I don't care - I just think Adsense makes any site look ugly. I just don't want anybody believing it helps your site in any way in any search engine.

The reciprocal links you need to increase your page rank come from sites directly linking to yours. Forum signatures, helping people out on other sites, building link directories, etc. is what you really need.

Just go the Tools, Banner manager and then set up a banner with your adsense code.
Then go to Admin , Layout and select that banner to display on your desired position.
