Warning message in new store

I am getting a warning message about being able to write to the configuration file at the top of my newly created store, as follows:

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /.../public_html/store/includes/configure.php

I rest the permissions for the two config files (and all of the directories) as explained in article 107, but it persists.

Any ideas?

Both files and reset to what? 664 or 444?
No need to reset other directories

I never experienced this message ONCE I've changed into 444 the permission of of both configure.php. i I have installed only 5 sites already (actually with all the tests more than 20 :laugh:)

includes/configure.php AND admin/includes/configure.php

You can also check the files through your hosting control panel, it may, repeat it may not be changed by filezilla

Hopefully someone from development or support or with more experience than me, could read this and give some input

OK, here's the deal.

The permissions must be set to 444, not 644. I had to do this in cpanel's file manager in order to resolve it.

yes some hosting do not let filezilla to change permissions
