Here Noob asks a general Zen Cart question
Hello all, total noob here, please try and bear with my ignorance. I looked around for an answer before posting this but I couldn't gather one from any of the posts that looked likley. The reason I'm here is because I've been let down at the eleventh hour by a company who were supposed to be building a website for my business. Because I've got some HTML experience and know my way around photoshop I'm thinking maybe the best thing I can do to avoid this type of thing in the future is to build my own site. I know that this would not be an easy undertaking but it is good to learn things. The business I'm engaged in is much the same as that at canvasrus.com or thecanvasworks.ie . This type of business model requires an online process to guide the customers through choosing the specifications of the product. Firstly they will have to choose between say Landscape, Portrait or Square canvas shapes. For each of these shapes there are various dimensions available. And for each dimension there are lo cost and hi cost versions. Really it isn't until the customer chooses these variables that a price can be arrived at. Basically what I'm asking is will Zen Cart be able to accomodate the requirements of such a site or is it only useful in instances where the products are non-customer-customisable? Thanks for taking the time out to read that, I hope it makes sense.
