Download links not showing after checkout

I'm a newbie to Zen-cart and php scripting. I'm more comfortable doing html (I know old school). I think I have my store setup correctly. Paypal process the order but the redirect seems to be sluggish and when I click on the link it suggest when it takes longer than "10 seconds", I get a page in my store thanking for the purchase but with no downloads! All my products are downloadable. What am I doing wrong? I've read the forums and I think I have everything set up correctly but obviously I'm missing getting some file somewhere customized so that it makes the download available to the customer. I just dont know what that is. Also I seem to have an problem with my "ipn_main_handler.php" file. I get a 500 Internal Server error when I click on the "checkout with Paypal" button in the shopping cart. All paypal modules are installed, and all the setup on the Paypal side has been done also. Can anybody help me please!?!?!?!?!

Do you see a reference to the Download at all on the checkout_success page?

Do you see them in the My Account on the Order for the customer?

When you add the Downloads to the shopping cart are they listed with the Product Name?

Do all your Downloads have the green dot next to them?

#1 - No
#2 - No, just the product name
#3 - Filenames are not listed, but it does show "Download 1" with a radio button, same for "Download 2" and the price. All under the product name
#4 - Yes

Sounds like your Downloads are not setup right ... or you do not have the Downloads on autoselect so you have to manually do this or nothing gets added to the cart in reference to the Download itself ...

Or, you have setup the Option Name with the Option Type of READONLY ... and READONLY means READONLY and are not added to the cart ...

Have you an URL to a Product that is not working right that we could perhaps peek at? :smile:

Ok. I did a search in the tutorial area for AutoSelect and Auto Select. I only found a few related topics. None that really helped me. Here's an image of my Attribute Settings for Downloads. I also have the attributes under the product set as downloads being available for only 2 days and limit of 3 downloads. Payment modules are set at option 2 and 4.

What do I need to do to get you approved? I havent received any notifications of new members signing up.

Nevermind. You should be approved now. What do I need to change so I dont have to manually approve new customers each time?

Turn off the Customer Approval/Authorization in the Customer Details ...

Check/money order should be turned on now. Sorry it took me so long. I was having issues with my internet connection earlier. Was just able to check email just a little while ago.

I made an order ... and used Check/Money Order ...

I download Part 1 in FireFox ... no problems ...

I am downloading Part 2 in IE 6.x and so far, no problems ...

Have you been able to repeat the problem using Check/Money Order?

Nope. I'll have to test it out and see what happens. Was the check approved right away or did you have to wait for it to be approved?

Ok I just tested the check/money order and the downloads show up. But should they not show up until payment is received? Now what do I need to do to change the Paypal option so that it works like the c/mo option?

Tried testing the Paypal option again and it still doesnt work. Am i suppoed to have all 3 paypal modules installed or just one? And could the fact that all 3 installed be causing my problem? I have a feeling I know what the answer is, but bare with me I'm still new at this folks.

Check your Orders Status settings ...

You appear to have allowed Downloads to be released immediately on the Check/Money Order but not on PayPal ...

Check in the Attribute Settings for the ranges on Downloads being available ...

The defaults should allow PayPal to work right ...

OK I know I'm being extremely dense here, but I'm totally lost. I've gone back and set the order status settings in the paypal modules at the recommended settings. Now under "Localization/Order Status Settings" what should be the "default"? The default right now is "pending".

Set Pending Notification Status
Pending [1]

Set Order Status
Processing [2]

Set Refund Order Status
Pending [1]

These are the PayPal modules I have installed:

PayPal IPN - Website Payments Standard
PayPal Website Payments Pro
PayPal Express Checkout

The first one is set like you had just posted.
