Page displays differently in I.E and Firefox

Hello,

I have this issue where the categories side column appears wider in Internet explorer than in firefox..

I have attached a screenshot of both..

can someone please help me to fix it?

I do not think you have to define a width for the sidebox headings and this exceeds the column width set in the admin

h3.leftBoxHeading, h3.leftBoxHeading a {
	font-size: 1em;
	color: #000000;
	background-color: #ffffff;
	width:180px;
	height:26px;
	background-image:url(../images/category_header.jpg);
	background-repeat:no-repeat;
	}

This was at first glance - I have not looked for other anomolies that you might have
