Local tax rates to add to state tax

I've read a number of posts relating to the setup for state sales tax and the need to add various county and city taxes when selling into those counties/cities, but I'm still confused.

Does ZC handle the addition of local county taxes to the state sales tax in its vanilla form, or does it need an add-on module?

It seems to me it should be able to handle this, as it is a very widespread requirement in the US.

Thanks.

Re: Local tax rates to add to state tax

This varies from state to state. Make sure you check your state's requirements. For example, TX simply asks you to collect the tax using the tax rate at your "ship from" location.

I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Re: Local tax rates to add to state tax

I know the rules for my state: I have to charge the local tax rate for the county I'm shipping TO.

My question is about how to set this up in ZC, because it defaults to one flat state tax rate (which by the way is incorrect).

I need to know how to set up ZC so I can charge 6%, 6.25%, 6.5%, and 7% to various FL counties instead of just one flat percentage state-wide...

Thanks.
