Header disappeared during checkout after shared ssl install

I have been looking at this... I am puzzled.

When you go to the login page, the header is missing and the styleshhets are messed up... BUT...

Change the https:// to http:// and everything is OK. There must be some setting with your host that is making things go wacky. The only thing I can think of is that your template settings are not getting passed to the https side... so it may be a setting in the config file.

OK... I didnt read ALL the posts... silly me.

If you change the template and it works, then it has to be a template setting somewhere... maybe...

I still dont know why it would work on the non-secure side and not the secure side...

Re: Header disappeared during checkout after shared ssl install

So, my host FINALLY emailed me back and said the following:

You have a broken link. Right now it is looking at public_html/index.php. I checked out the source code for the index.php and this is what it appears to be using for the location of the file: includes/templates/myown/images/logolongerfordebzen.bmp. If that is not the right file for the missing image/logo file then look for the correct path to where that file lives and put that in where it is missing the reference on the checkout page.

Now...this doesn't make any sense to me because my INDEX page doesn't have any place for logo information to go. My HEADER.PHP page has a place for logo info... and I have the following:

define('HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE', 'logolongerfordebzen.bmp');

....SO to recap, I have a header and a background throughout my whole site UNTIL my site changes from non-secure to secure by entering the page where the customer enters in personal information.

ANYONE?

Re: Header disappeared during checkout after shared ssl install

Try going to the image directly:
https://secure.bluehost.com/~heavense/includes/templates/myown/images/logolongerfordebzen.bmp

You'll notice the following error message: > Unable to pull 280382 bytes through temp URL: https://secure.bluehost.com/~heavense/includes/templates/myown/images/logolongerfordebzen.bmpI suggest that you tell your host about that error and see what they have to say, since it's only affecting the SSL side of your site.

(The main non-SSL version works fine: http://www.heavensentminiatures.com/includes/templates/myown/images/logolongerfordebzen.bmp )
Thus I suspect it's something amuck in how they've got SSL handled on your server and/or account.

Another, perhaps better, angle would be to change your image from a .bmp format to a .jpg format instead. Maybe even compress it down to a somewhat smaller size too.
