Replace Cetegories Menu with Image

I am trying to figure out how I replace the entire categories menu with an image of my own.
I have an image similar to the navigation menu image (on left) at http://www.franschocolates.com/home.php?cat=6&gclid=CJGVtZubk5ACFQjOIgodPmLE6g and I want to use it.

Can anybody help?

You want to have a background-image for #categories in your stylesheet (if the size can be fixed), or the bottom of the image in #categories and the top in #categoriesHeading with overlap to allow stretching (if the content size is dynamic).
You might want to use #categories and #categoriesContent, depending on your setup (if you want no heading).

Google for sliding door method for instructions on how to do this.

Depending on the type of image you want to display the repeat command works for a simple image. I used fixed width on my top sidebox image.
