Possible to add some products without purchase option?

Hi all,

I'm developing a site for a client who has just informed me that one of their suppliers has requested that a certain brand not be available for purchase online.

Is it possible to create certain products for display purposes only, without allowing the option to purchase the product?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Possible to add some products without purchase option?

I created a new product type for this purpose. It's almost identical to the default product type, but doesn't have the add to cart stuff. It displays a message instead. IIRC, I found some tips for adding a new product type in the FAQ's here, but it's been a while.
