Paypal Express Checkout not showing the amount or the items??

When the customer clicks on the paypal express checkout button it take them to the paypal website, but the amount or the items are not carried to paypal??

what am i doing wrong?

Please help!

Their first visit to the PayPal site is only to login and prepare to make a purchase.
The actual completed price and details are determined after they return to your site and complete the checkout.
