Change layout for New Products

Change layout for New Products

When a user backs out of a shopping cart they are redirected to a link like below where the New Products have a different layout, Three Columns instead of the single column New Products display. Is there anyway to get the New products or Feature products to layout like this, in three columns?

Yes, but how to apply to new products, all products, featured products as well as special products??

Is ths module allow for select configuration? i.e. just for New Products or just Features or does it change ALL products to Grid format??

OK, I am running 1.3.7 ZEN. I've downloaded latest Column Layout Grid module exactly per the install.txt . I copied both the template and module to the proper folders, run both the SQL patches and then executed. Then I set the config layout to Columns and 3. Nothing changed. I am still in "row" style.

activate it by turning it on in the admin configuration layout settings from rows to columns

Yes, I mentioned in my post I already did that as per the install doc. But, didn;t change the layout.

Last night installed this mod per the istall doc. At first nothing changed. HOWEVER, today I an getting the below error and NO products displaying.

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function zen_get_generated_category_path_rev() in /home/kevinmc3/public_html/includes/modules/classic/product_listing.php on line 209"

How can I resolve this error or do I need to do a DB restore?

The Column Grid mod only applies to the product listing pages, not new/featured/all listings.

It's not an error; each type of listing uses its own files, and Column Grid only contains the files for the product listing. The others use a different style of listing and it would take some work to adapt the Column Grid code to them.

You might want to check out a thread by yellow1912 for Using one single listing template.

"Not an error"?? Whatever it is, my product listing is corrupt. No products are no longer displayed only this error since installing this module.

this is not a db error, seems your product_listing.php file got corrupted at some point.

I would work with the files before I would the database.

Thanks will do. I assume if I remove the file (until error resolved) , the error will go away.

Oops sorry, I was talking about the mod's applicability, not your new display problem.

You are using v1.3.7, but there are changes to product_listing.php for v1.3.8a (the latest version of Column Grid). This is probably the cause of your error. You need to download the previous version of Column Grid which works with v1.3.7.
