Customers earning points for purchases?

This maybe a stupid question, but has anyone ever tried to setup a point system for purchases on their site? If so, or if not any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Would like to do something like this if possible

CHeck the downloads section. There are currently two mods that do this.

Zen Cart: 1.3.8a
PHP: 5.2.4
MySQL: 5.0.45
