Blank page in Install after phpBB forum page

Can someone help me,
During the installation it gets to the phpBB forum screen and then when I click proceed it goes to a blank page. I noticed my PHP is still set to safe mode, would this be the problem?

PHP in safe mode is not recommended, but should not cause the problem you mention.

The config_checkup runs after the phpbb page, so, most likely you're missing a folder and file on your server:
/zc_install/includes/modules/pages/config_checkup/header_php.php
(some people have indicated that this file failed to upload correctly, and have to manually reload it).

You know what's so weird is I uploaded and deleted and then uploaded again the latest version just to install. Each time the /zc_install/includes/modules/pages/config_checkup/ directory never uploaded!

Using Filezilla 3.0.4.1. I see there is an update. I'll get the update and re-upload and see what happens.

If anyone else is having the same issue (I also had the blank page after phpBB), the /zc_install/includes/modules/pages/config_checkup/ directory did not transfer to the server during the transfer. I transferred the directory again, verified that it was actually on the server, and the install worked fine.

I don't even have the config_checkup/ after unzip the download. I had tried 4 times and each time I don't have that directory in the unzip folder. Can someone tell me which version I should download to get that?

The config_checkup folder, and its files, are new in the 1.3.8 files. So, 1.3.8 and 1.3.8a have it.

I had downloaded both versions for several times and just don't have it.
I don't know why. Any guess?

Which browser are you using to do the download?
Which unzip program are you using to extract the zip contents?
Which FTP program are you using to upload the files?

I am using Firefox. I have VISTA on my laptop. It automatically got unzipped after downloading. I am using FileZilla for FTP. The problem is not the FTP since I don't even see it on my hard drive.

It would be /zc_install/includes/modules/pages/

Have you tried using a real unzip program, like WinZip, instead of the unarchiver that MS throws in?

This is so embarrassing. I was looking at the root/includes instead zc_install/includes/ the whole time.

But I did have to physically FTP the config_checkup directory since the original FTP transfer didn't include that directory.
