Meta tags - home page

I am a bit confused.

I have meta tags on my home page but I can't see where they are from...

I have looked in the includes/languages/english/meta_tags but whats there is not what shows up on my home page tags when I view source or it comes up in yahoo.

I want to change my title, description and keywords but dont know here to do it.. (just on the home page as I can do it for each product etc)
help!

Re: Meta tags - home page

Do you have a folder and file at includes/languages/english/red_passion/meta_tags.php and is this the one you are editing or the one you posted at includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php

I only have this one - includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php

and what I have in the title there, is not what shows up in the title of the home page when I do 'source'

Post the contents of that file here.

I am using Zen Cart 1.3.7.1v1.3.7.1 doesn't have any built-in support for customizing your title tag to a specific setting without following all the other rules normally followed on other pages.

In v1.3.8, support was added to set page-specific title and keyword/description tags. The concepts are discussed elsewhere on the forum if you dare to break things trying to implement them. Or perhaps an upgrade is ideal.

Upgrading gets this automatically - with 1.3.7 you can look around the forum and edit what others have to get it

Re: Meta tags - home page

Here's one of the many places where I've already discussed and explained how to do it elsewhere on the forum. I got tired of repeating myself over and over, so built it into v1.3.8 natively so the question wouldn't have to be asked.

But, since you don't want to upgrade, you'll have to follow the instructions:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=355357&postcount=4
