Markups and price tools

Is there a mechanism to automatically markup items based on categories? Or maybe a markup pick list for each item?

I would like to have some complex markup rules such as cost+15%+$10=price for some items and cost+15%+shipping=price for other items.

Any markup features would help.

Re: Markups and price tools

I had to pay someone to custom code something like that for me and it wasn't cheap! I haven't decided if I want to make it available for everyone as it did cost me so much....$400.00 to be exact.

It has site wide, category and product specific mark ups all user defined in the admin panel. Works great in version 1.3.8a too!

To be honest a little community input on this would be a good thing.
If I payed someone to code a module, like the markup one I had coded but the person who coded it (or me) may not have any interest in supporting it should I or do I have a duty to make it available for free.
ZC is free after all and I really want to support this community as much as possible but something like this didn't come cheap and there will be no support for it.

Any input on this would be appreciated

Re: Markups and price tools

I know this is a little late but may help other trying to do the same.

I purchased a zencart store manager that allows me to export a single cat or the entire store to an csv file.

I then open it up in excel and add a few columns to to a =cellnumber(the cell from the column before this one)7% (or what ever percentage you need. exp. =t225%) this will give the % price markup.

Now in the next column =column price+column % markup. exp. =t2+t3. this is your new price.

to make this formula all the way down click the cell with the formula and you will see a small black square in the bottom right hand corner of the cell click and hold and drag down to the end of you data and release the button. now the formula is in all the cell.

Now to copy the data that was added together.
Copy all the cells in that column with data (remember the top cell has product price do not change that cell or atleast retype the way it is currently typed) right click and do a paste special and click value only so you will not copy over the formula just the data.

Now delete the columns you created save and import you data back up.

OK the program stor manager is from magnetic one, for the price its one of the best ive found. (they do have some type of price updater you can buy but why buy if you can do it for free)

I have been using it for two years now (and no i do not work for them) no kick backs.
