Featured Products tool - not listing

I am trying to list some featured products on my pages however when i go to Admin - Catalog - Featured Products tool, none of my products are listed to be able to be marked as "featured". Any ideas on why my products are not listed within this tool?

When you first go to Featured products ... there will be nothing listed ...

Hitting New Product will show you a list of all Products not already setup as Featured Products ...

Once setup, they will display on the listing ...

If you have a huge number of Products or a server that is too slow to display them, there is also an option to add a Featured Product on the right side panel when you click the button:
SELECT
Product ID to be Manually Added as a Featured

and enter the products_id that you want to setup ...

When i hit "New Product" thats where I'm stuck because nothing is showing up in my selection menu....no products are being listed....

Any suggestions why they are not even showing in there?

How many products?

Do you import them or are they manually added?

If you go to phpMyAdmin and browse your products table do they all have master_categories_id ...

I currently only have 19 products listed....they show up in the categories correctly.

I add the products via the control panel - admin - catalog - categories/products link....

I do not have phpMyAdmin installed. Do I need to do that?

Life would be better if you could access your database and view your tables or back it up etc. ... :smile:
