Categories DSP 1, 2 and 3 Per Row. Whats Wrong?

Im not really sure when this started so Im not sure what I did to cause it.
One suggestion made was to change

$col_width = floor(100/SHOW_PRODUCT_INFO_COLUMNS_SPECIALS_PRODUCTS);

to 

$col_width = floor(100/SHOW_PRODUCT_INFO_COLUMNS_SPECIALS_PRODUCTS)-1;

but it only made them smaller.

Am I in need of a clear: both; somewhere or what?!
