Integrating Zen Cart in existing website

Hi,

I have a website that currently contains a number of pages, one of which is a shop. Is it possible to swap this shop to zen cart and not affect the rest of the website? for this site, the shop is a secondary consideration, whereas all the showcase websites I have seen so far open with the home page showing shop categories etc. The website is http://www.malenymountainwines.com.au

Regards,

Rod Gullickson

Re: Integrating Zen Cart in existing website

I would suggest setting up Zen cart in a subdirectory and then modify/design it to match your current website. You can do this without affecting any other part of your site.

Re: Integrating Zen Cart in existing website

Wow. Nice looking site.

It looks, though, that the store is the bulk of your current site, so I'd create a template that looks like your current site and go with Zencart as the base, rather than calling it from a directory. Most Zencart installations have categories, etc. on the home page, but it isn't required. It all depends on your template and cofiguration.

Other than your shop, most of your current pages are already in Zencart (Privacy Policy, Contact Us, etc.). The few remaining you could use E-Z pages for.

Using Zen might make it easier to accept credit cards other than through eBay, and it's free and doesn't tie you to a particular host, unlike your current cart.
