I looked everywhere in my stylesheet and can't find it

I used the web developer and came up with #indexCatagoryHeading ID to center my category and sub category headings, but I can not find #indexCatagoryHeading
anywhere in my CSS. I did find it in the templates/template_default/templates/tpl_index_categories.php file. I can't see anywhere there that will allow me to change it to center the text. Please help.

Just add the following to your stylesheet.css

#indexCatagoryHeading {
text-align: center;
}

I added the

#indexCatagoryHeading {
text-align: center;
}

to my stylesheet but it didn't change anything. Is there a particular place within the style sheet or something else I need to add?

try this instead. You can place it at the very end of the stylesheet.css

#indexCategoriesHeading {
text-align: center;
}

The alignment is already set in:
includes/modules/category_icon_display.php

You'll need to change your settings in:

admin -> configuration -> product info -> Previous Next - Navigation Includes Category Position

I tried that, but it didn't seem to affect it.
