Minimum order per Manufacturer

Can this be done? I want to set different minimums for products from different manufacturers.

Here is the scenario:

I sell Products from Manufacturer A and ship them for Location A, I have minimum order requirements for A of a $100.

I sell Products from Manufacturer B and they are shipped from Location B. This manufacturer has a minimum order requirement of $150.

I know there is minimum order mod but it would only set minimums for the whole store. I need it be customizable per manufacturer or some other selector that solves my problem. If this needs custom coding, PM me with offers.

I could not live without the minimum order on our shop and I have recently discovered that it applies to the whole shop and it is not possible to set a different minimum amount per manufacturer or product or client etc...

I have looked through the forum and can see that this kind of functionality by attributes has been asked by many users over and over again SINCE 2004....
but no one has ever given a real answer/solution to this question other than saying that it "could be done ".

I must admit that it really turns you off zencart to read such comments in a forum.

Is anyone able/willing to try to come up with a solution to this problem for the benefit of many ?
