You can create your own html for the main page in:-

ADMIN>>>TOOLS>>>DEFINE PAGES EDITOR>>>DEFINE MAIN PAGE

You can just display your categories on main page. The pictures will show with links to the respective category. See my site in my sig below. Is this what you want?

You have to UPLOAD your desired images to your server, then in your HTML code, you have to show the PATH to the image.

Your code currently shows:-

I´been searching for this all over the admin and just can´t find this option

I went to configuration/indexlisting

but nothing happend

and I don´t know how to list all the categories and subcategories on the main page

please send me in the right direction, i will appreciate it :blink:

I am working in localhost

I have the images on a directory in C:\Program Files\EasyPHP1-8\www\ECommerce\zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007\includes\templates\mostlygrey\images

if I put this direction, it dosen,t work.

How I can get the right direction for the image, i am lost, because the above address is the right direction were it is stored , so i don´t get what is wrong :cry:

Go to Configuration>Layout Settings>Categories - Always Show on Main Page
and set to 1

then go to Configuration>Layout Settings>Main Page - Opens with Category
and set to 0

You can control how many categories to show per row by setting the following:
Configuration>Maximum Values>Categories To List Per Row
