Removing/hiding Sub Catagories

I figured out how to get rid of the |_ from the sub cats. But that isn't want I really wanted.

What I would like to do is Hide the Sub-Catagories in the Navbar.
Cause when they click on the main Catagory everything pops up in the main window.

If you could help me out that would be great.

here is a link to the site that I am working on

http://deathray3000/shop

thanks for the help! :smile:

Re: Removing/hiding Sub Catagories

I get no connection with that link.

It depends on your site's category setup, but I have sometimes found that configuration annoying when in a subcategory and wanting to go to another subcat in the same group; I have to go back to the top cat and then to the sub instead of directly to the sub, which I could do in one click with the normal categories sidebox.

Re: Removing/hiding Sub Catagories

I understand what you are saying about wanting to click back. It's what the client wants.

I agree with you though. Maybe I should make the subcat links smaller? Maybe half the size of the main cat font size... now there's a thought....

runs off to the CSS and looks for the area to do this....

Re: Removing/hiding Sub Catagories

Your template does not include the classes for the categories box. Add this to your stylesheet for a start on customizing:

a.category-top, a.category-links {color: #1100aa; font-size: 1.0em;}

a.category-subs, a.category-products {font-size: .8em;}

a.category-top:hover, a.category-links:hover, a.category-subs:hover, a.category-products:hover {color: #ff3300;}

Adjust to taste.
