Scrolling Gallery in Sidebox?

I am looking for a separate gallery module that could appear in a side box but not be fed by products. My customer wants it to be totally separate from the products. Or that's what he is initially thinking.

Any suggestions?

There are a couple of them in the downloads section that are fed from I believe featured nd specials and/or new???

You can use these as a base and feed your outside source into them - can not expound on how to do this as I have no clue what, where or much about your outside source
