Re: tax on attributes HELP

I'm not sure this will help, but try editing that attribute and set "attribute is free" to NO and "include in base price when priced by attributes" to YES. See if that helps.

Re: tax on attributes HELP

Exactly the same problem here. Price shows correctly with VAT in shopping basket but when I go to protx the price carries through without VAT. Items not priced by attributes show correctly with VAT shown separately. Also, the shipping cost shows in protx as inclusive of VAT and nothing in the tax column.

Re: tax on attributes HELP

Just to let you know - I have been in touch with Conor (the developer) and he has now updated the module to address the problem of tax not appearing on the protx page on products priced by attributes. So it now works perfectly and separates out the shipping tax which was also not displaying. All is perfect now and he will be updating the version on his website shortly.

Re: tax on attributes HELP

Sorry kitcorsa - misunderstood - when you set up the products are they set to Taxable? I'm not sure but I think once you have set up the Tax rates etc the tax displays in the attribute controller regardless of whether the item is set to taxable or not...

Re: tax on attributes HELP

Yep. set as taxable goods, tax is worked out on the product its self, just the attribute is not adding tax.

works fine on my bathroom site but not on fires site.

Re: tax on attributes HELP

Odd - because mine's working perfectly now. I have the store set to show inclusive prices and when the main price is set to zero and priced by attributes it all works fine. Have you got the zones set correctly? Include in base price ticked on the attribute?

Re: tax on attributes HELP

just incrase anyone else is having this problem ill tell you what i found out.
my site was 100% configured correctly so the error was a Random problem. to solve this i pritty much ried everythin from turning the tax on and off and still couldn't figger out the problem.
i fixed the problem by using the tools in the admin section and on the atribute option (next to the product) to update all attribute sort orders etc. i also then ran a database cleanup. this solved this issue.
i dont know exactally what was causing the error but this solved the issue.
i did pleanty of back ups before runing these updates just incase.

Re: tax on attributes HELP

So ... the Zen cart team produce this excellent piece of software which is so stupidly easy to use it's almost criminal.
I get my grubby hands on it and start to confuse the hell out of the community.

To NOT show VAT on attributes?
Configuration > My store > Display Prices with Tax = False

:shocking:

VAT is still added/ displayed on checkout.

At least this works for me!
